It's all About the Little Things

     When I was planning my wedding I really wanted everything to have a special meaning.  I researched the symbolism behind all things wedding, and found out a lot of interesting things.  (e.g. wedding dresses used to be blue, until the Queen wore white to show her wealth by wearing a garment that could only be worn once, and then the fashion trend switched to white dresses.)  
     But through all the searching and planning, the deepest meaning was found in the little things...


My Bouquet~




     Beyond the beautifully wrapped white garden roses, by Blush Botanicals, my Auntie Mae gave my sister and I each a page out of our Great Aunt's Bible, that she carried with her down the isle on her wedding day.  My page was Ephesians 3 & 4, holding in it, my favorite Bible verse: 
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen Ephesians 3:20-21


     This message of hope and love that I clung to so many times through life, I held as I married my best friend in the whole world..."God can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine."  And wrapped around those words  hung a small, diamond cross necklace that my husband gave me as a gift on our wedding day.  Some of the most meaningful parts of my wedding day, are things that no one saw but me.
