Wedding Paper Divas DIY Additions: Part 1

If you don't know about Wedding Paper Divas, you should!  We have LLLoved them for years now and have used them for everything from Save The Dates, to Christmas cards!  We were thrilled to collaborate with Wedding Paper Divas on a few DIY additions to some of their gorgeous invitations!  We did a DIY addition to one of their invitations in the past, here, and it turned out great.  Below are a few more fun ideas we put together this time around.  We hope you enjoy and get inspired!

Add watercolor tags and envelopes ...
The design of this invitation was already so beautiful and had a lovely watercolor print on it, so I thought it would be fun to make some watercolor additions of my own!

I added a "To Have and To Hold" and a "Love" watercolor tag to these beautiful invitations, and tied them on with some bakers twine!

Use orange, yellow, and brown watercolor and paint a piece of drawing paper (or watercolor paper if you have it).  Wait about 20-30 minutes for the paper to dry and then punch out a tag using this craft punch. And if you want an additional touch, try painting the envelope as well!

Add some "love" ...
I had some extra tags, so I added a little "love" to this adorable invitation.

I used a hole punch on the tag and tied it on the invitation using this bakers twine.

And look at the beautiful detail on the back of the invitation!

Add some buttons ...
This is a pretty easy DIY addition, with an adorable impact.  You will need ribbon, buttons, and glue dots.

Wrap your ribbon around the invitation, and glue the ribbon together with a glue dot.  Then, trim the ends of the ribbon.

Glue one of your buttons onto the center of the ribbon with a glue dot.

Add some buttons to the envelope too!

And there you go, cute as a button!

Add watercolor and confetti ...
Take any paper and a hole punch and you've got homemade confetti!

I painted watercolors on a white label, and wrote "Celebrate" with a purple felt pen.

I used this hole punch to make the circle sticker and placed it on this glassine envelope filled with the homemade confetti.

Use this bakers twine to tie your envelope of confetti to your invitation and you're ready to celebrate!

Add a bow ...
To make your invitation more formal add an enclosure envelope and a silk ribbon!

Glue your invitation in the middle of the folder enclosure, and glue the ribbon on, leaving excess ribbon on both ends (for the bow).

Tie it with a bow and your invitation is all dressed up, and ready to go!

Add watercolor confetti ...
I got really excited about painting, and thought it might be fun to add some watercolor confetti to an invitation!

I made a "love" tag using watercolor and a white sticker label.

Then I filled this glassine envelope with the watercolor confetti, and topped it with the label.

Lastly, I tied it all together with more bakers twine! We love our bakers twine, and we love Wedding Paper Divas invitations!

Stay tuned for more of our DIY additions and lovely Wedding Paper Divas invitations tomorrow!

LLLove,
Jen & Jess
